Can I update the site myself after it's launched?
It depends on the site. Most sites built here use clean HTML and CSS — if you're comfortable opening a file in a text editor, text updates are straightforward. I can walk you through it at handoff. If you'd rather not touch it, that's what the care plan is for.
What happens if something breaks after launch?
Every project includes 30 days of post-launch support at no charge. After that, fixes are handled through the care plan or at the hourly rate. Most things that "break" are hosting configuration issues or third-party service changes — I'll help diagnose and advise on the fix.
Do I need to buy hosting?
Your site needs somewhere to live. Hosting setup is a add-on — I'll recommend and configure Cloudflare Pages or Netlify, both free platforms with no ongoing cost. Alternatively you can use hosting you already have. Hosting fees go to the provider, not to me.
How long does a project take?
Most one-page sites are live within 5–7 business days of receiving your content. Larger 3–5 page sites typically take 10–14 business days. The clock starts when the deposit is received and all content (text, photos, logo) is in hand — content delays are the most common source of extended timelines.
I already have a website. Can you improve it instead of rebuilding?
Yes. Section additions, speed fixes, form integrations, and layout repairs are all available as hourly work or flat micro-tasks. Send a message describing what needs to change — I'll advise whether it's a micro-task, a scoped add-on, or something that warrants a rebuild conversation.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. Every project is quoted as a flat rate, confirmed in writing before work starts, and that's the number on the invoice. Any out-of-scope request is communicated in writing with a price attached before any work is done on it.
Do you write the copy (text) for the site?
Copywriting is available as an add-on at per page — not included in standard packages. I write in your business voice, structured for the page layout and optimised for local search terms. Without the add-on, you provide the text and I handle the design and structure.
Do you work with businesses outside Newfoundland?
Yes. Work is done remotely for clients across Newfoundland and across Canada. Meetings aren't required — most projects run entirely via email and a shared preview link. If you're local and prefer a call or in-person meeting, that's available too.
